Josphat Miringi, grew up in a time when the world was ignorant of the impending Global Pandemic. 


His first Wife died from an HIV related illness in 1990, giving birth to their son. Josphat abandoned his child and sank into an oblivion of denial with alcohol and drugs. He married his second Wife and they too had a child.


Eventually his health deteriorated and had to face his truth. The family found strength, becoming closer they decided to fight the virus, the stigmatism and the shear lack of understanding of the HIV and Aids, becoming key figures in their local community.


Somewhere in the darkness moments our greatest strengths are born.
