About Ziff
ZIFF is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 1997. It is a unique initiative for the sustained preservation and development of the region's rich cultural heritage and the work of contemporary artists. ZIFF's main activity is the organisation of the annual Festival of the Dhow Countries held in July.
Mission: To promote the arts, improve communication and awareness for social and economic growth in Zanzibar and beyond.
Vision: ZIFF aims to make Zanzibar the focal point for promoting Dhow culture through films and other media.
Governance: The organizational structure of ZIFF and the applicable duties, responsibilities and procedures are established in the registered constitution of the organization. The Board of Directors governs ZIFF. The Board is comprised of individuals appointed after consideration of their professional expertise and contribution to the aims of the organization.

The ZIFF offices are located within the Old Fort, right in the heart of Zanzibar's ancient Stone Town. Please feel free to drop in and say Jambo anytime!
We have a core staff managing our various events throughout the year, but come Tamasha time you will see plenty of us about as it is all hands on deck.
