Women Panorama

A Panorama of cinema designed especially for the women of Zanzibar, followed by facilitated discussions and debates around the themes of the films .The empowerment of women in rural and urban Zanzibar is a key social concern. The ZIFF Panorama and Forums will raise a number of important women's rights issue - these include legal matters, social practices, gender-based violence and policy questions. Screenings of films from different parts of the Muslim world and the Dhow region will provide a sound basis for comparison s Zanzibari women contemplate how to move forward in realising their rights.
