Children & Film Panorama

Children and youth are first movers, the audience and film creators of the future – and they orientate themselves locally as well as globally.

Since 2008 Children & Film Panorama has played a key role within ZIFF. It gives children and youth access to a diversity of films – in terms of content, genres and cultural origin. The professional film industry is invited to take part in seminars and professional meetings with the ambition to strengthen the professional commitment within the field of producing and distributing films for young audiences in East Africa. The long term vision is to generate a political debate and action towards better premises for film and audience development – from a child perspective.

ZIFF and the Danish Film Institute truly believe in the potential of Children & Film Panorama and we hope that the festival section can continue in the future. And we truly believe in the important role that film can play in childhood and in development processes!
