It’s Tamasha Time!

The Arts are one of the most versatile and powerful tools of communication that we have. Through imagery and sound we can express ourselves, our visions, our hopes, our sentiments.

Since the dawn of mankind we have used the Arts to explore and communicate personal and social experiences. We have been able to trace the footsteps of the human race, the sounds of our presence on earth. Art can also used as a tool for the future, to bring about change; social, political, cultural.

Through art we can express the mind, body and spirit in a unique way. Art provokes reaction and self-reflection, whether intellectual, visceral or emotional.

At ZIFF we act as a vehicle for Art and the union of image and sound in film is one of the most powerful art forms we have today. We provide a space to show the amazing, beautiful and stimulating works from Africa and beyond so they can be honoured and given the due time and reflection they deserve.

Let the art of film unfold as you sit and watch, breathe in the stories, empathize with the characters, reflect upon the messages. We ask you to be open to learning something new about yourself, a loved one, a friend, or even an enemy.
